How to thrive in lockdown, 2021

During the time of lockdown Paula has been observing shifts in her environment, that created the imperative to solely face yourself. Some people ended up in loneliness, others adapted in productive ways.

The myth of an artist’s life, especially in a time, where the mandatory audience is missing, is something she sees as a controversial identity issue.

With self-irony she creates a fictional persona, that represents a privileged and delusional „emerging“-artist, trying to get her s**** together in times of crisis. With this performance she wants to playfully demystify the cliché of the work as an artist, which people like to elevate on pedestals.

Documenting herself between managing her daily routines and failing them, creates an awkward and humorous picture, which she is keen to „making public“.

Two old friends spend their holidays together in the south of France, where they come to realize that they have estranged from each other. LOTTE is frustrated about not finding a good idea for a script and ALEX is annoyed about her boring friend.

When they meet PIERRE, a young man from the village who broke down with his motorcycle, an excessive night under the influence of magic mushrooms begins. Tragic misunderstandings bring the friends back together in an unexpected way.

A good day, 2015

This montage shows my late grandmother, who lived in this room for about 8 years because she could no longer walk. Despite her physical disabilities, she was one of the most optimistic and loving people I have had the privilege of knowing.
